Contrast and Color

Another set of tiles from the most recent kiln firing. These are made in a light all-purpose clay, Laguna 60. The underglazes are Velvet Terra Cotta and Turquoise.

I think so, too. The terra cotta was left here by a student some time ago and I just decided to try it on different clays. I like it as well, it’s also quite different from the other colors I use. I also do tiles in this same clay with a black wash but I didn’t show them. I guess I’m used to them! Not exotic anymore!
