I think this is the piece of mail art I recall most fondly. I sent it to my son some months ago.
The Famous Thumbprint Sisters and their list of hit songs – for some reason I really found this one amusing to do!
It started with making the background of the postcard and setting down some random thumbprints. I did think I’d turn them into people, but what kind of people? Then I made their outfits and that’s when the rest fell into place, because they looked like a singing group to me. Making up the song titles was a lot of fun – got a lot of help from my husband on them.
