Remodeled #3

As I mentioned in previous posts, I reworked four 12″ x 12″ mixed media pieces – I’d started off as thinking of them as abstracts, and that’s how I did them. But – I just wasn’t satisfied, and I redid them with a bit more “reality” in them. Here is another one, “Traffic on a Rainy Day”. I picked it to show today because we are starting out on what promises to be a wet autumn day.

Your going back and putting hard edges to your abstracts really is stellar. I am very impressed. Our work is similar (if you could see my painting) in that we mix abstract and figurative. Good going and thanks for the post!

Thank you. I can make small abstract work but when it goes a bit larger, I never can feel I’ve quite gotten what I wanted done and I have finally begun to see that a bit of “realism” makes a difference to me! Thanks for your encouragement.
