Here at the Museum we are always so excited when new objects appear for our enjoyment and study. Two recent newcomers to our collection:
This spare and stark example of a utility-driven object was found lying in the trail in Lorimer Park. No record exists for any existence before the existence so noted by finder Claudia McGill, a citizen interested in preserving our nation’s past in whatever way she can. “I knew it was something special as soon as I picked it up, ” she said. “The worn-away aspect of the plastic, the rust…it was all just too much! I’m so happy others can experience this object.”
