Abstract ATC’s

I always like it when I can see a little of the print or image from the previous incarnation of the support – you know I use discarded cereal, popsicle, etc., boxes and cut them to size for the raw materials of the ATC. Somehow the existing colors and shapes free me to paint or collage whatever I want without thinking too much about it.

My husband returned from the mailbox yesterday questioning the “postcard” I received from Ms. Claudia McGill…(he reads my mail). The message, of which he was not privileged to know and which was not printed on the postcard itself piqued his interest! (as he handed me that little treasure, he asked, “what is this?”) Funny you should ask…..
Thank you Claudia McGill, it’s really quite lovely and now hanging in my studio!

Thanks. No, I haven’t, interesting idea. Right now I have them in a box and I take them out and arrange them. It’s sort of a meditative thing, helps me think out things. I think it’s the act of arranging lets my mind organize things without me knowing it. Sounds crazy but it works…I also do this with the Museum objects!

Fantastic! I’m glad it arrived safely and in good shape.

My husband reads my mail, too, and it’s as if he is always coming in in the middle of the story, I have to explain things, and he always seems vaguely surprised that I go around doing things he doesn’t know about!
