Small Landscape Day 5

Claudia McGill says: I run or walk along a trail in a local park set in a floodplain. When trees die there they become bare and stark reminders of their past selves. Their bark peels off and they turn pale and smooth. I have my favorite ones and I look for them when I go there. Over the years they take on new roles, especially as birds or insects hollow them out. I like this transition they have made.

Actually I think it does make sense and I see the profile, too. I didn’t know it was there.

I think trees have faces, especially dead ones when all the bark is stripped away, and so, I am not surprise that my mind put a face in this picture.
