One of the best days in my life was when my father bought us a washer/dryer after my youngest was born. No, you don’t want to wash your clothes in a Laundromat (although they are somewhat entertaining for toddlers…)

I had to do it for a while when I was single. I was thrilled when I moved into an apartment with laundry room down the hall. When we moved to a house and got our own, well, that is luxure to me. Still is.

Apartment living is hit or miss for dishwashers. Lots of the old buildings have pipes that would need to be replaced in order to put them in. A family’s worth of dishes is tough on the dishrack!
