Postcards – the Unknown

These postcards are from March, 2016. They seem to have an air of the mysterious and unknown about them. Maybe it’s the card (fortunetelling?) or the green moon (far-off worlds?)

These pieces are 6″ x 4.25″ and done in mixed media on recycled cardboard.

Thank you. I like using cards like this – they have many connotations, of course, mysterious, fortunetelling, etc. I think of them more in the context of endless games of Go fish and War played at swim meets!

Thank you. You know, there seems to be controversy about whether using black out of the tube (as I do love to do) is “ok”, but I can’t understand why there is any question when it does so much for a picture! I make these figures when I’m watching TV or something like that and save them for later on to put them into environments. No telling what kind of world they will end up in.
