This postcard is full of photos that I took – Philadelphia; old tree in Ambler, PA; and a construction site behind our local high school in Wyncote. Plus a lot of other ones underneath all that paint.
It’s 6″ x 4.25 inches on recycled cardboard, from March, 2016.
Uuu, this one is screaming to me. “Go out! Do Stuff!”
Yes, and that is how all these pictures came about! Going places, although not always that exciting of places, but you never know what will appear in front of your eyes!
I like the ghostly, ethereal nature of these images. Like something glimpsed from the corner of one’s eye.
Yes. I arranged the pictures and then put the paint over them – they were too harsh, and so it suddenly gave a whole new feeling to it. I like how this one turned out.
I love the collage and all of the effects.
I especially like it that they are from around home.
Are you using photos printed on photo paper? I like including photos in my art but haven’t been happy with the results. I’m curious about your process. I like the end product.
Depends. Usually I print them on regular old copy paper or maybe cardstock. Neither is actual photo paper. I sometimes will print them on photo paper if I have any, but not so much anymore. I make sure to set the printer specifications to the kind of paper I am using, as it makes a difference. Hope this helps?
Thanks .I have included black and white photos printed on paper. I think I’ll try color. It looks good.
