A Very Short Novel, In Just Two Chapters

Two postcards. They go together, that you can see. A tiny story.

And the second chapter doesn’t have any words…

These are both brilliant. I love the contrast between the strong lines of the figures and all the interest and blending and layering in the backgrounds. I like that the figure on the left is so dynamic and energised while the one on the right is unmoving, stoic, determined.

Thank you. I find the same thing interesting, contrasting the hard edged figures with the crazy background. I like contrast and it shows that it’s not always a matter of color, but also pattern and sharpness, I think. I think this is why I keep making these figures, as there seems to be no end to the new ideas I get from them.

Intriguing idea, but I would need a plot, oh dear, because I don’t think in cause and effect very well! Seriously, I have thought about doing a book of some of my artwork, the same way as I do poetry books, so maybe some day…
