From the Pages of My Sketchbook

These three postcards are made of drawings taken from my sketchbook and pasted on to recycled painted cardboard. A couple of them, I colored with watercolor pencils.

I have a couple of little notebooks that sit on the table by the sofa. I draw in it while I watch TV. Sometimes I attempt something more realistic, and sometimes, I just draw patterns.

These postcards were done in May, 2016.

I love the introduction of a little splash of colour. There was an animated kids’ TV show when I was wee called ‘Mr Ben’. The middle one of your illustrations reminds me of the magical shop and shopkeeper in that show.

Thank you. I used the brush pens for these and I love the way they work. As for that middle one, well, I don’t know where it came from. I feel sorry for the lady with her too-tight little shoes…

Every time I see your work, it makes me happy. With the wildfires in our area and all the craziness of our world, I needed your art this morning to touch my heart. Thank you again for sharing. Have a wonderful day!

You’ve made my day. I am so happy that you felt this way, and honored. I hope that things get better where you are, and also in our world, too, I share that feeling! Thank you again.
