Brushed Off

I used my Chinese brush and ink to draw these quick sketches on white paper. Then I cut them out and added them to postcards with previously-created backgrounds. I used a little paint as I liked. Or left the figures as they were. Whatever looked best!

These are really cool! Great energy. Speaking of… has taken me months to get my juju back since my traumatic downsizing experience. So now I am catching up on fav artist blogs! You create so much, I wonder: do you ever sleep?!

I really like how they forced me to be free with the strokes, and to pare down to essentials. And I also really like the ink, how it flows and so on. Different from painting in acrylics, in look, and also in how it feels to use the materials.

I was glad to see your name pop up, and to see you back here. And I’m glad that you have downsizing behind you or else you have completed some of it, and don’t have to relive that particular experience again, it is done! Yes, I sleep, the rest of the time, I enjoy doing things, I’m not a person who can sit still for long, so, to me this is all relaxation, since I am making the choices!

The brush does the work that I could not figure out how to do on my own. I really love using it and I was surprised at that as I didn’t think it would be that different from regular ones.

I’ve recently returned to yoga via a chair yoga class, so I don’t do this one anymore because of my eye issues – except now I can, with the chair and some modification. I think yoga has been on my mind in a lot of ways!
