Back in January, 2018, I made these tiles – at that time I was working on a lot of them, and I did several small themed groups. This one features electronic items from around my house…plus a cat.
Clay tiles, 4″ x 4″, Velvet underglazes on commercially made terracotta tiles, fired at cone 06.

Thank you. I have to credit Velvet underglazes – they have a million colors, plus you can mix them and figure out the color you want very easily. I like making tiles and doing clay for this colorfulness.
Thank you. I love my cat and this is a little tribute to him (and true to life, he always has to be wherever something is going on!). I was happy with how these turned out, and kind of surprised because I was getting desperate for subjects and just decided to pick out these objects at home!
