Here are those small tiles you have been reading about in the Art Diary. The whole group presents itself for your inspection!
Assortment of low-fire white clay or terra cotta clay, fired at cone 06. Velvet underglazes for the colors. April 2018.

Thank you. I love arranging them (like that is a useful activity but I can’t help myself). I guess when I take them to a show to sell, I’ll be spending a long time setting these up, I predict…
I think you would become dizzy and fall down looking at them? I would probably intersperse plain tiles or else include tiles of a larger size (decorated crazy or not, either one) to give the eye some rest. It might be hard to live with. Then again, this kind of visual activity is right up my alley. I’d like to have a rug in these designs but then maybe it would be hard to get your footing on it, once again, so visually busy.
Yes, afraid so. I’ve made that mistake too – as they say here in PA, “you have to play to win”. I say, rub it in, why don’t you???! Anyway, thank you, regarding the tiles. It is really fun to do this kind of work, and very soothing, mentally. One little bright spot at a time and next thing you know, there are LOTS!
“Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
Yes! And in a project like this, I never know what I’m going to make, either, until it appears. Just like opening the lid of that box and seeing what is there…
You might be right that it would be too much. They’d be amazing as accent tiles though.
Yes, that, I think they would do well. It would allow each one to stand out on its own and the overall design would have coherence.
Reminds me of an instagram layout!
Love the colors
❤ These are so great. If I got them in a box as a gift when a girl, I'd be over the roof. Even without a game board attached
