I like how you place the people looking at the scene, awesome!
Thank you, that was the last thing I did, the painting looked…unfocused to me, then I did that and all of a sudden, it was in balance. Funny how that happens.
I like the cosy, confined feeling of this painting and the way that outside (buildings) seems to be encroaching on the interior space while that space (defined by the red) is creating a definite boundary.
That extra added dimension adds intrigue needed.
I really struggled with this painting, I think the Art Diary revealed its path to completion, and I like how it is an inside/outside with audience kind of painting, so you don’t know exactly what is going on, but it is a home and a nice place, that is what I wanted to say.
