Chefs

For the past several years we have eaten Thanksgiving lunch at the Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA. I can recommend it very highly.

One year I took a photo of the chef at the omelet-preparation area, and made a tile.

I did it again. And now, again. Here you see the tiles from 2015 and 2016, and now…2017. All are 6″ x 6″, done in Velvet underglazes, fired at cone 06.

Musicians Caught My Eye

I did this little painting (it’s 10″ x 8″) from a photo I took at the Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA, last Thanksgiving. These two men were providing music for the Thanksgiving buffet lunch. I thought the combination of accordion and guitar was wonderful to the eye and to the ear.

It’s done in acrylics on board.

Clay Tiles 6″ x 6″ – Food, Everyday Life, and Memories

These tiles were inspired by photos I took last Thanksgiving at the Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA, where we had lunch.

And some more…from here and there.

Random Photos

Here are some pictures I’ve taken in the last few months. There is no theme. There is no story. I just liked what I saw and photographed it.

None of these had any enhancements done to it; they are as they were and I saw them.

Slice of life kind of day for today’s post, I think!
