Portraits of Tiny People

Recent tiny paintings. They are the size of artist trading cards, 3.5″ x 2.5″, and are done in acrylics and India ink on Claybord.

For the Art Diary reference, look here.

The postcards were painted in acrylics and then had a little more done to them to finish things up.

Who Am I, and Who are You?

Yes, you may ask that question, and what answer will you hear?

Clay tiles.  The first one is 4″ x 4″, Velvet underglaze on commercially made terracotta, January, 2018. The second one is the same, except for the tile is handmade terracotta, @ 3″ x 7″.

People Do Talk

Are they really saying anything?

Mail art postcards, 2017.

Mean Babies

A while back I made some tiles featuring “mean babies”, odd little persons who all seemed to have a belligerent look about them.

That’s become my name for any small tile featuring a person, usually with spaghetti arms and legs, no matter what their personality. These people do not necessarily look mean, but…they are mean babies, that’s that.

Velvet underglazes on lowfire clay, fired at cone 06, December, 2017.

Scrutinized People

Here’s the whole group of portraits together. I thought it might be nice to see them all at one time.

Acrylics, 12″ x 9″ on masonite panels, November 2017 and January 2018.
